Product Reviews: The Mystery of Atlantis |
Rating: 3 (out of 5) Summary: Other Books Comments: This is1of a bunch of books that Berlitz did in the 1970s, when it seemd there was a bit of a craze for all that Mysteries of the Unknown stuff.
This book, however, is certainly not as interesting as the Bermuda Triangle book. That is more interesting from a modern point of view, while that sort of approach concerning a legend like Atlantis is rather dull.

Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Does Atlantis exist? Comments: I do not know. I believe in Atlantis. Whether it's beyond the Pillars of Hercules, or not, nobody knows for sure. It's probably the Minoan town of Akritiri on Santorini, an island in the Mediterranean near Crete. Crete itself could be Atlantis. Akritiri's still being excavated after sixty years. Whether Atlantis exists or not, I'll leave that debate to the scientists. The late Edgar Casey, known as the "Sleeping Prophet", says in his readings that Atlantis is in the Atlantic Ocean. We do not really know for sure. Atlantis has been written about in e book from Conan to Tom Swift And the City of Gold. however that's another story. |
