Product Reviews: The Best of Fattburger |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: An oldie however a greatie!! Comments: I really like this CD by Fattburger. It came out a while back, however great music never goes out of style!! A couple of songs on it I had heard throughout the years, and I wondered who the artist was. Recently I was listening to Smooth Jazz out of San Diego online. I heard the song "great News" and it showed the title and artist. I knew then that I had to have this CD. The original was out of print, so I got this one. I have been enjoying e song on this project. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: A cult Jazz band!! Comments: Among the annals of the leader ensembles of the creativeness and original proposals of these last decades, this famed rhythmic and talented band has towered due that egregious expressive power. Their fine arrangements, superb sense of the rhythm and fabulous level of e1of their integrants, have made of them -like EFX for instance - a winning card.
So, do not let it pass and acquire it, because it's absolutely rewarding.

Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Best of Fattburger is Smoking Comments: Fattburger is simply Awesome!! Musicianship, cohesive sound, and just lots of fun to listen to for the avid jazz lover. Each song on this album is unique to the next, it takes you on a journey through all the levels, turns, valleys, and hills of imagination. A "air guitarist's" dream if you know what I am talking about. Steve Laury and the gang, do the right thing on this album. My only wish is to see them in concert so I can take the musical journey with them in person. |
Rating: 3 (out of 5) Summary: Varied And Full Of Surprises!! Comments: Steve Laury and company comprise the jazz/rock band called Fattburger. I began listening to them in the early 90's and enjoyed them more back then, than I do now. however, overall their music is varied and full of surprises!! As far as this collection is concerned.... The song great News is1of my favorites. It is a lively instrumental. The 2nd selection Make That Dream Come True is a pretty great song. It has vocals, however no credit is given to anyone in the liner notes. These are about the worst liner notes that I have seen in a CD. The song Eva reminds me a lot of the type of music Lee Rittenour featured on his CD's back in this same time frame. It is definitely a guitar-based song. The Doctor is a piano-based song. It is1of my all-time favorite songs from them. 1More Time is a decent song. It's a typical smooth jazz style song. Some of the octave-style guitar playing remind me of George Benson. Imagine That is a Latin-style song. I would say that it's okay overall. Without Love is another song that features vocals. It sounds a bit like Al Jarreau. however, not nearly as great. Sorry Al and your fans. It's an okay song. Daydreaming is another great song. Who Put The Meat In My Bed? This is kind of a techno-jazz selection. It's not bad!! Monica is a song that kind of reminds me of Earl Klugh. Alalmost all An Angel is another Latin-style song. Steve Laury enjoys playing octaves on his guitar and this song is full of them. Night After Night...has a bouncy, feel to it that will get you moving. Overall, this is a pretty great CD. The only song that I feel should be on here and isn't is1Of A Kind...perhaps, this really is their best!! |
