Product Reviews: The Daring Book for Girls |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Better than video games Comments: My niece was thrilled with this book. I purchased it because kids do not play, explore and/or know how to anymore. As a science teacher I am constantly telling my students to get outside and get to doing something even just observing stuff around you. Not enough of this is done with video games, cell phones and mp3 players. Kids are losing the ability to think and reason from these "dummy" toys. Help them explore the world around them and get these kinds of books and games!! |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Perfect for any girl, young or old Comments: I purchased this book for my niece for Christmas. I thumbed through it before wrapping it and fell in love with it. I can not wait until my boys are old enough to get the male counterpart version. My husband was so impressed with the book, he even wants to read it with her. It's the perfect gift for a young lady, something they can read and learn from on their own or with mom, nana or aunt. A true classical wealth of information e girl should know. |
Rating: 1 (out of 5) Summary: Another anti-male propaganda Comments: Here we have a book that was given permission by the writers of the Dangerous Book for Boys to write a version for girls. Nothing wrong with that. Now when you look at the back cover this is what's written:..."here is the no-boys allowed guide to adventure".
Yet they manage to turn another innocent book for girls into a gender war!! "oh no, you do not need this boys; how dare they!!". What has this world come to. If you cannot write a book celebrating girlhood and innocent playtime without picking on boys/males/men then do not waste our time with this anti-male brainwashing propaganda!! these writers are a total hogwash. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Daring Book for Girls Comments: I purchased the "Daring Book for Girls" for my daughter. She loves looking at all the interesting things to do. She takes it to school and talks about geography or whatever else pertains to what they are studying. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: My g'daughter loves it!! Comments: I purchased this for my g'daughter's 11th birthday. At 1st she was busy playing with toys she rec'd that day, however then realized later that evening that the book is full of fun things to do, new things to try, and facts that realy interest girls her age. The next day she spent an hour trying to perfect the karate moves illustrated in the book.
It's a great way to stimulate a girl's mind while also getting her to try things she might otherwise be timid about.
I purchased the Dangerous Book for Boys, too, however will not give it to my g'son until his birthday in a few weeks. |
