Craft of the Wild Witch: Green Spirituality & Natural Enchantment
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Refreshing approach to a Personal Journey
Comments: I have wanted to purchase a book of this nature for quite some time however hesitated because of the alalmost all corney way in which these things were presented. This is an honest book about a personal journey. It makes suggestions, however does not demand anything. I have e intention of blending my Catholic/Christian beliefs with my desire to be closer to nature and the universe in this unique way. I do not believe that the worshipping of a God who has a traditional male image (for those of us who can not help however put a face to it) conflicts with my belief that the creator has no sex, and that a male (God) and female(Goddess) image is of our own making. My God/Creator is ageless, sexless and loves me for who I am, not the way in which I worship. My God can be honored in many ways, with many different faces, even if that face is a tree, a bird or a mountain stream. I have found that this book presents the Craft of the Wildwitch in a way that I can integrate these beliefs into my eday life, a way of life that suits me, as a solitary practitioner. Do not hesitate if you have been looking for some guidance, however know this is not a spellbook, it is a guide for self exploration. If you always felt a connection to the sacred and have found the sacred in the air and earth and sky, then this book is for you.

Summary: Excellent Work
Comments: Excellent book, goes right to the heart of Green Witchcraft and delves into the essence of the craft itself. It gives useful instructions for the work, and gives the reader necessary precautions. I have found this book to be invaluable to my study of the craft. Thank you Ms. Palin!!

Summary: Poppy is Still With Us
Comments: This book is a credit to a wonderful woman who stayed intensly in touch with who she was and is. Honest and caring, this is a book of loving guidance to those of us deemed different from the rest. It is pure pleasure to read and learn from someone now an Ancestor on the other side however willing to lift the veil to that other world for those who seek with a great heart. Blessed Be.

Summary: Nice Start, nothing new for the rest of the book
Comments: This book had such a lovely start. All the writings about experiencing Witchcraft in a natural, self-affirming way, based on your own soul's experience of the beauty of the outside glory, filled me with beautiful feelings. Then, for a book based on a Witch path with no rules, tons of rules came up!! 1st, eveidently we all have to have chants for ething, even if our minds do not work that way. The incredibly detailed checklists for how to do ANYTHING was so disempowering. The book was as dogmatic as any I have ever read. So much better would have been a book about ways for exploring my own Wild Witchiness. Rules rules and more rules!! Then it just sunk into terrible basic Witch 101 with her own rules about how that too has to be done!! Sabbats she renamed, spellcasting as if she invented it. And what was hardest for me was her demand that we do not in any way believe in, much less work with, the Gods and Goddesses. I can not take away 20 years working with my Beloved Gods and Goddesses. Yet she throws in over and over that we should be working with her2powers, Jack (the green world not a God however is a God - sorta) and the Moon (the great Goddess oops not the G word). How can she make these distinctions for us? The ego!! I haven't encountered such formula since I stopped working with "Pagan teachers" who slammed all other ways to boost their fragile, yet huge egos. I am sorry, however if I am to decide my Wild Witch path, why was she arguing at e turn in the path as to what and why I have to do things HER way?
