Comments: great tips for anyone - beginner or more advanced. The book is set out so you can go to just1section or another, find what you are looking for and not have to read pages and pages of theory and background. The 1st few pages alone will set you up with a basic knowledge of moon cycles, candle colors that associate with each day and planetary influences of each day of the week. |

Comments: I love this little book. I love Ellen's writing style that is humorous and personable while still being informational and matter of fact. The author Comes with some concise content that is useful such as information on moon phases, how to choose the best plants for growing in your region, as well as alternative sources and uses for herbs if you cannot grow your own plants. This book is a complete beginners guide to tell you how to work with herbs in general. Its srong point is that is is not a herb encylopedia. After reading this book you are ready to take the next step. Which isnt that the goal of a beginner level book? I feel a great companion to this book would be Cunnningham's Encyclopedia of Herbs. |
