Product Reviews: The Shack |
Rating: 2 (out of 5) Summary: Stupid!! many ways this could have been written other than this!! Comments: I thought this book was stupid!! I started to happily read thinking I had come across another joy of a book and then felt profoundly let down by the author's stage play of the Trinity. Any number of other ways this could have been written. |
Rating: 1 (out of 5) Summary: Much ado about (alalmost all) nothing Comments: Up until the time Mack returned to the shack, I was fairly interested in the story. however Young's attempt to humanize the religious figures made them laughable. The writing turned amateurish, with lines of dialogue followed by he chuckled, he yawned, she sighed.1cannot chuckle, yawn, or sigh a sentence. I began scanning the pages just to find out what happens. And then, when I read about The Missy Project, I felt I'd been had. What a way to promote and sell books. however I guess it has worked. I got my copy at the library so I hadn't shelled out $$ to this scheme. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: EXCELLENT Comments: I have not read a book like this in a loooong time. Excellent. I was hesitant to read it at 1st, however boy am I happy I did. I am telling all I know to read this book, even purchased an extra1to give to people to pass along as I did my book. This book spoke to my heart. I see God in a whole different light. God Bless those reading this. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: A book to give hope and build our faith Comments: This came highly reccomended and I was not disappointed. For me, it answered the question, "Why do bad things happen to great people." It also explains in a new way the Trinity. It holds your attention to the end and continues to amaze and surprise with each chapter. It is an easy read, however1that I will read and reread. I have given away 6 copies already. I believe it is God inspired. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: The Incredible Shack Comments: I could alalmost all believe that this story could happen. Just as the story goes, God is honestly able to appear to people in whatever form He decides. My husband and I both liked the book a lot. |
