The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 3)
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: The Titan's Curse
Comments: this was purchased for my 11 year old granddaughter as a Christmas present. As she is reading the series she was delighted in receiving it as1of her books.
I was pleased with the service, deli time and price.
Rating: 3 (out of 5)
Summary: The Titan's Curse
Comments: These books supply a fun and adventure-filled introduction to the old myths for younger (3rd-grade-ish) children. My son, who loves mythology, has enjoyed these books tremendously as I have read them to him. The books are quick-paced, clever, and vivid. They subtly highlight the broad grey area between great and evil and raise important questions about righteousness. *Note: they are violent.
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Great book even for reluctant readers!!
Comments: I am a fifth grade teacher and I have several boys that never want to read. When I read The Lightning Thief and then talked about it to my students, the boys were hooked!! They have been reading this series like maniacs and now beg for silent reading time so they can figure out what Percy Jackson is up to next. almost all of them have also become hooked on Greek and Roman mythology!! This series is quick paced, and adventurous with sympathetic characters that kids like and can relate to!!

Summary: The Titan's Cure Book Review
Comments: The Titan's Curse By: Rick Roirdan

When I read the Titans Curse , it felt like I was in the story and having a lesson in Greek mythology, just as I felt during the 1st2books in this series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This book makes you feel as if you were at a summer camp, going on adventures with your best friends. The book takes you to many places such as Camp Half-Blood, and many large cities found in the U.S. I like this book because of the action and adventure. Also, you can learn a lot from this book such as about ancient Greek myths. For Example, these books talk a lot about Greek gods, monsters, and more.

This book, The Titan's Curse and the other books in this popular series is for young teens. This is because of the adventures that the characters go on and the ages of these characters (about 12 to 14). You may think that you need to know about myths in order to understand this book, however you do not because ething is explained for you. Also, the audience will not change while reading The Titan's Curse. The genre of this book is fiction even though the myths told are real.

The start of this story takes place in a dark castle-like place with Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia,3friends who are half-bloods or a son or daughter of Greek gods. Soon after they arrive you find out that this castle like place is a boarding school. If you have read the 1st2books in this series, you know that Percy's best friend Grove is a satyr or half man half goat and that all satyrs find and capture all half-bloods to send them to a training camp called camp half-blood. Percy and his friends are helping Grover capture2half-bloods named Nico and Bianca di Angelo. Once the capture these siblings the group has to fight a Greek monster in order to get out of the building. When doing this3things happen... 1st, the di Angelos find out that they are half-bloods. Second, Percy and Thalia push the monster over a cliff to get rid of however find out that the monster took Annabeth with him. Finally, Bianca makes a decision that will affect her for the rest of her life.

I think this book is like an informational book. There is so much information about Greek myths such as the different gods that you can learn a lot. The Titan's Curse is similar to the 1st2books in this series that you would want to read those books 1st. I also think that this book is similar to Harry Potter because Harry goes on adventures with his friends and fights monsters just as Percy does.

One strength that this book has is that it has great descriptions. These descriptions make you feel as if you are in the places that the character, Percy describes such as Camp Half-Blood. Another strength of this book is that the author makes you want to keep reading. You will never want to put this book down. The only problem I had with this book was that at the end of each book a new problem starts that makes you want to purchase the next book.

In conclusion, I love this book and the rest of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I think that even if you do not like myths, like I did you should still read this book because you will enjoy it. Each page is trilling and exciting and you will not want to put it down!!
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Great
Comments: The entire Percy Jackson series is just the greatest. The story is true to the mythlogical legends & is great for young & the older readers. I am amazed how the characters can be looked up online & read more about.
