Summary: Great set, really holds up
Comments: I purchased this five-piece set in 2004, and4years later it's still going strong. IF I were aiming for cosmetic perfection, I would not use metal utensils on these pans or wash them in the dishwasher. however what I want is cookware to make great meals in, and Cuisinart Eday Stainless is it. It's well-made, durable, and priced right.
One thought: As I am rating this five-piece set, Amazon says it's unavailable. I recently (2008) purchased a saucepan from the Eday Stainless line and noticed that the look/construction was different than my five-piece set. My new saucepan is fine, so far, however I wonder if Cuisinart has switched to a different (read: cheaper) supplier. |

Summary: Cuisinart Stainless steel
Comments: I been using this for a year and it is really great cooking ware. So easy to use, watch the cooking channel and learn how to use it. Now I enjoy making many meals in Stainless Steel. Thick bottom heats all the cookware even. This is the kind of cookware you can put in the oven to finish a meal that you started fry or sear. Clean up is easy when you learn the easy steps of cooking in stainless. |

Summary: A Top Quality Set for a Low Price
Comments: I purchased an 8-piece set from Overstock.com for $100 without checking Amazon and realized that I might have been slightly overcharged however not by much because this set is worth e penny I paid. The set is great. I purchased them for my wife who complained of our last set (a cheap non-stick knock-off set). She wanted something REALLY nice however I did not want to pay hundreds like you can easily end up doing, so I decided to give these a try becuase the brand name was a safe bet... We have been impressed with the pans!! We have a gas stove, and have found that the handles tend to heat up only if the heat is on too high (and if they do heat up an oven mit will take care of it). The copper bottoms conduct and disperse heat evenly (I am freaky about that kind of stuff. I paid $500 for a Weber BBQ just to avoid hot spots), and I haven't had a minute of trouble cleaning these pans--even with ground beef and other potentially staining, greasy foods. Just like a nice set of knives, I wouldn't put these in the dishwasher even though it says they're "dishwasher safe." When we're done using them we let them cool off and then soak them in soapy water for 10 minutes or so, then we clean them off with Scotch Brite spounges (the yellow ones with a green plastic wool-type top), and so far we have avoided leaving ugly swirls that steel wool can potentially leave. So if you are stradling the fence over this purchase, go ahead and jump down on the "GO FOR IT!!" side because not only will you get bang for your buck however you will get a set of pots and pans like the kind that people who do not do their homework get and pay hundreds for!! |

Summary: Fantastic!!
Comments: I found this cookware to be fantastic. I was unsure of the stainless steel, favoring non-stick, however the stainless steel works fantastic. I have not have any problems with anything sticking. I have read in other reviews where someone used steel wool (SOS pads) to clean the cookware, however the instructions clearly state not to do so. I thought it was an excellent price. As far as that goes, Amazon has excellent prices on all Cuisinart (my favorite brand.) I am going to build my Cuisinart collection, via Amazon, thanks to their great deals. Thanks Amazon!! |
