Summary: Perfect fit
Comments: The Farberware 12-inch glass lid fits perfectly on a cheap skillet we purchased at Walmart, as well as on a quality Cuisinart skillet. It's nice to be able to see through it so we do not have to lift the lid constantly to check on the food. Great value. |

Summary: NOT For the Deep Skillet
Comments: I purchased the Farberware 12-Inch Glass Lid thinking it would fit my Farberware 12-Inch Deep Skillet. Silly me. It did not fit. Not even close. It seems that while the curved side of the skillet arcs down to the base directly from the edge, the lid has a lip that is more or less perpendicular to its edge - an incompatible state of affairs. After spending a little time audibly pondering the mental capacity and pedigree of whoever at Farberware was responsible for this SNAFU, I "fine-tuned" the lip of the lid with a pair of blunt nose pliers and thumb/forefinger pressure to achieve an acceptable fit. My wife is pleased so all is well.
Realizing that a lot of Amazon shoppers probably would not take this course of action, I am submitting this review to advise fellow deep skillet lid seekers to look elsewhere for a lid that fits "out of the box" and to remind eone that sometimes the 12 inches you are looking for is not the 12 inches you get. So be careful out there. |

Summary: Fits my Farberware pans
Comments: I own all Farberware pans, non-stick and traditional, some 15 years old. In fact my parents still own their original set that was a wedding gift over 40 years ago. They are still in great shape. The black has faded a bit however not1handle has broken or cracked. I purchased3sizes of these glass lids and have been using them for alalmost all a year now. I love them. They fit just right. I do not know why many reviews say the lids do not fit. I can only guess they are not using Farberware pots and pans. The lids are made well with thick glass. Cleans well. Mine still look brand new. It is a nice change to be able to watch the cooking. |

Comments: We purchased a 12" Rachel-Ray fry pan, however it did not come with a glass lid, so we got this - and ta-dah!! It works!!. |
