Comments: I feel duped after purchasing this product based upon the Amazon description. I was under the impression that I was purchaseing a Hoover brand product at a great price. I was wrong. The product is some cheaper quality knock off. I guess I have learned once again that I get what I pay for. |

Summary: GREAT product, however not made by Hoover.
Comments: This is definitely a great product for2main reasons: it works really well, and it costs less than half what you'd pay for the Hoover brand filter in any store. It should be noted, however, that it is not a product made by the Hoover company. This means that it is slightly different in shape than the original filter that came with my machine. (In my machine, the top circle on the filter is supposed to slide into the catch on the plastic mesh screen to keep it in place, as shown in the picture above--this one's top circle is smaller than the catch, so it sits off center by about 1/2 an inch.) The difference doesn't remotely affect the filter's function; if anything, I have noticed that my machine is doing a much more effective job of cleaning than it ever did before. And, it is certainly NOT worth twice the price to purchase1that is a perfect fit. I endorse purchaseing2or more at a time to save on shipping. |
