KitchenAid KHB100OB Hand Blender, Onyx Black
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Love it!!!!!!!!
Comments: So glad I purchased this, wish I had gotten1sooner!!!!!!!!!! I make alot of homemade soup and I use this immersion blender to thicken up the soup. it is so much easier to just stick this in the pot, rather than my old way, which was to ladle soup in to the blender and puree it, then place it into a bowl, do another blender or 2 full of soup, then put it all back into the pot. Ugh. What a pain, and the blender was a pain to clean too. This immersion blender saves me so much time and work. To clean it I just stuck it into my soapy water in the sink and turned it on, clean in about 30 seconds. Love, love, love it.

Summary: It's a hit!!
Comments: I purchased this as a gift for my husband. He absolutely LOVES it and uses it e day. It is attractive, versatile and almost all importantly, high quality. I am pleased that it is also easy to clean. It is much nicer than I expected. Great value!!!!!!

Summary: Breaks in about6months of daily use
Comments: This is the third1we have purchased. We use it to make smoothies about4times a day. It always breaks within6months--always something a little different. We are trying an Cuisinart next time.

Summary: Kitchen Aid Quality Control lacking
Comments: We purchased this blender thinking the quality would be higher than lower priced models. While it seems great to detach the blade for cleaning, who really cares? They are easy enough to clean, taking off the end is really just a nuisance. We immediately notices that the switch seemed poorly designed and somewhat difficult to use. It failed after a year of moderate use. Even under warranty, it costs more in shipping and handling than getting another one, so that's what we're doing. We had similar issues with a Kitchen Aid blender in the past. They seem solid, however have weaknesses in some small however critical part that kills them, seemingly by design. Then you have to decide if you want to go the trouble replacing the whole unit with another1that will fail early the same way. Why would you replace a poorly designed appliance with the same thing?
