Epson Dura-Brite STYLUS C84/C86/CX6400/CX6600 High-Capacity Black Ink Cartridge (T043120)
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Use in my CX6600 and I am impressed with it
Comments: I used2different models of HP printers a few years back, and they both used way more ink than the Epson. I purchased the CX6600, and the cartridges for it lasted much longer than the old HP cartridges--which, by the way, HP quit making, forcing me to switch printers!! When I did, I did a lot of research on the Internet, and the Epson CX6600 came up as the almost all efficient user of ink at that time. I have had it for a few years now, and really like it. I do not know if there is a more efficient ink user right now, as I have done no recent research, however at the time, this was a great bargain.

Summary: I have Tried Ething.
Comments: I am pleased with the Epson factory branded original Dura-Bright ink cartridges. I am not pleased with the price Epson charges for their cartridges, however... let me say that I have2printers, the C86 and a CX6600. On previous printers {not these two} I tried shortcuts to save money on ink costs. I tried refilling my own cartridges, which ended up costing a lot of time and money to accomplish, and was only marginally successful. I also tried purchaseing recycled and non-branded cartridges. They never seemed to work in my printers long without some sort of printing problems. Over the years, I probably tossed out10reams of printing failures due to inkjet cartridge failures because of these feeble attempts to save money. Finally, I decided to just close my eyes, use the factory inks and pay the price. I have not had a single printing failure since. Not even1failure in2years. I am convinced that in my case, the factory inks are the best answer to trouble free printing. Also, the Dura-Bright inks seem to work the best on my glossy paper.

Summary: Epson's ink is garbage!!
Comments: I got an Epson Stylus C-84 printer for free with my Mac a couple of years ago. Since then, I have probably cussed at that printer more than I have cussed at any inanimate object in my life. The ink is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! And it dries out and clogs the printheads like crazy. I clean and clean and clean the printheads and the printing gets WORSE!! And cleaning uses ink!! And the ink is expensive!! It's a horrible, horrible circle of frustration. I just purchased a Canon Pixma MP600 printer and can not wait to hook it up. however I am waiting until the Epson's ink runs out before I do it. I want to use it all up because I do not want to waste any money. And when the ink runs out??? I am gonna kick that Epson printer from here (near Detroit) to California. EPSON PRINTERS AND INK ARE HORRIBLE!! do not LET THEM DRAIN YOUR WALLETS ANYMORE!!!!
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Better value than standard size replacement ink
Comments: Replacement inks are expensive and only last a short time. The high capacity replacement cartridge is reasonably priced, lasts much longer and shipping is free!! I no longer purchase my ink at BM shops. Amazon is great, no tax no hassle. My only gripe is how long it took to arrive at my door step, however then again, shipping was free.
