Product Reviews:
HP iPAQ 4355 Pocket PC
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Still the best business PDA
Comments: I have had a 4355 for 4 years-and last week it was literally run over by a bus!!

I reviewed and tested many new PDA/Smartphone devices, however none of them were suited to my needs-easy typing, stable and usable word processing and spreadsheets, easy customization and reliability. almost all of the new units sacrificed utility to include phones, games or text messaging-not what I needed.

Fortunately, I was able to purchase a brand new 4355 from an Amazon seller. After a week of using a borrowed late-model PDA, it was such a relief to get back to the best business tool I have used.

Summary: Awesome Product!!
Comments: Pros: Keyboard entry is easy, screen is clear, sound is clear and overall easy to use.
Cons: The device is somewhat large, some driver problems, however those can be updated easily.

almost all times when people write reviews, it is because they are displeased with a product. However, I found this product easy and simple to use. I have had mine for about a year now, after I purchased it "used" off of eBay. There were some scratches on the screen and1small1on the back, however after being used for 4 years with no screen protector, I am not surprised.
I have used my iPAQ e day since I have purchased it. It is easy to connect to the internet, there are many different programs you can download, and it's an overall great product. The downsides are not too much memory, and the bluetooth and WiFi need to be updated with drivers to read the new A2DP 2.0 and WPAPSK, respectively.
Overall, I love my iPAQ. I will continue to use it until it dies!!

Summary: nice pocket pc
Comments: I had an HP IPAQ RZ1715 and I upgraded to the HP IPAQ 4355. The 4355 is a great pocket pc. I had no trouble connecting to the wireless network of my university. The total memory is 64 MB which makes running multiple applications possible, something that was unthinkable with the 1715. Obviously there is a limit to the number of applications that you can install and run with the 64 MB or memory. The keyboard is also a welcome feature and it makes input much easier. However, constructing Word, Excel documents etc. will take longer than it does on a desktop or a laptop. That is to be expected with a keyboard of this size. The size of the pocket pc is relatively large (especially if you compare it with other pocket pcs) however again that is because of the addition of the keyboard. Overall, I am impressed with the 4355 and would endorse this device.

Summary: great, however can do with more enhancements
Comments: I have had this PDA for 6 months and it's been useful in almost all cases. My1big complaint is that you cannot use a bluetooth cordless headset to listen to mp3 music/audio. This is something HP needs to upgrade. I would rather not have to switch to a corded headset just to listen to music.

Summary: some endorseations after using it 1 year
Comments: I purchased this unit1year ago, and I love it. I have some endorseations about ways to take the best of it:

1. do not purchase it before you purchase a hard case. The screen is fragile. Mine broke while I had the unit in my pocket. Use an aluminium hard case and never take it out of it.

2. Internet browsing sucks, I installed pcAnywhere software and I connect directly to my pc at home, I use the pocket pc as a remote screen of my home pc, so I have all the power of a desktop pc in this little unit.

3. I endorse to install mobile skype out, you can use your unit as a mobile VOIP phone
