Because of this setup ,the computers do not have to be tethered to the printer and I can print on these computers anywhere in the house. |

Summary: Works well right out of the box
Comments: I have been using this for about2months now (edit:6months now!!) and it is great to be able to print from anywhere in the house. It was easy to set up and I have it running with an ancient HP Laserjet 1160. While I do not need the extra LAN ports it is nice to have them in case I want to add network storage later.
The print server has continued to work even after hard and soft "reboots" of the network. No reconfiguration was necessary. Edit: survived the great power outage of 2008 and came back immediately with no reconfiguration necessary.
Note: this product does not work with Mac OS-X 10.5 (Tiger).
I'd give it5stars if it was a little bit cheaper. |

Comments: It would not work with my printer,Now I`m out sixty dollars.I get the run around to get a refund or get credit for it. Not happy with it!!!!!! |

Summary: Works well and great pricing
Comments: I had previously purchased a Lynksys Wireless-G Printserver before purchaseing this unit.
I am a regular computer user and typically almost all software downloads would post no problem. However, I couldn't install the Wireless-G. The IT guy at work called up tech support at Lynksys and was told that the software for Wireless-G is buggy.
Not for this one. This is a breeze in setting up.
Maybe this1is not as convenient as the wireless version however it serves me well and I am happy with it. |
