Comments: PAN SET IS MADE FROM THICKER METAL AND ALLOWS FOR BETTER EVEN COOKING.IT WORKS SO WELL purchased 2ND SET. EASY TO CLEAN AND NON-STICK WORKS WELL.HAD 1st SET FOR 1 1/2 YEARS. I TRUST THE CALPHALON BRAND OF BAKEWARE. |

Summary: can not beat the price!!
Comments: This is a perfect set for college students, 1st time apartment renters/home owners, or just anyone who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg on bakeware. Simply put, they do their job and they hold up well. For the price you aren't likely to find anything cheaper. My1complaint, which really isn't a complaint, is that they do not hold up well in the dishwasher. This is do to the fact that each piece has a lip that will retain water if it gets in for a long time. This is a non issue if washing by hand, however if you put these in a dishwasher you will risk rusting areas around the lip. You shouldn't have to worry about this since each piece is easy to clean thanks to its not stick material.
Each piece holds up well in high heats without warping, and I have never had a problem baking with any piece. Definitely endorseed!! |

My cookies and pies have baked evenly and I haven't had a problem with anything sticking to the pan.

Summary: Some great qualties however rust, rust, rust
Comments: I purchased these pans a few weeks ago for2reasons. 1st, the set I had for the past5years was rusty under the outside rims and it was irritating. Second, someone using the pans in recent years scratching the coating. So imagine my disappointment when I removed them from the dishwasher the 1st time to see rusty water dripping from them. Because I did not have time to immediately clean the rust water off the dishwasher interior after I removed the pans, I still have rust stains on the inside of the dishwasher I can not quite get rid of. The largest pan also had a slight dent in the bottom when it arrived that cause me to consider returning it, however I decided against it. Too bad I did not do it.
On the positive side, the pans are HEAVY...and I mean that in a great way...compared to my old pans. The coating also appears thicker and more likely to weather the test of time.
In the end, if I'd known about the rust problem (I should have read reviews!!), I would not have made the purchase even with the great price. |
