Product Reviews: Linksys WPC11 Instant Wireless-B Networking Adapter, PCMCIA Card |
Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: worked for me Comments: OK to you linux users out there. Yes, it works in linux. This is great for a budget person trying to just... get on the internet without a problem. If you try something like Ubuntu, all you do is plug it in, and it knows what it is, its ready and waiting for you to select a network near by ;-). I suggest this to anyone on a budget or want support in linux out-of-the-box. |
Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: great for the price Comments: This has served my wireless network needs well for the price. Unfortunately, this device does not support WPA encryption (even though the firmware update notes say it does) so I cannot use it on many newer wireless access points or routers. If you are still using 64-128 bit WEP encryption, as I am, this will work just fine, however be prepared for issues with newer routers. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: best value for the money Comments: simple excellet. easy to install and much more chipper than other cards |
Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: Perfect for the internet cafe Comments: This PCMCIA card isn't the fanciest or quickest wireless adapter around, however it is a reliable performer that will connect with just about any wifi system out there. Installation is quick and easy. Sometimes more basic can be better. |
