Product Reviews: KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor, Brushed Nickel |
Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: Not a real chef Comments: I wish I had ordered1of these years ago. I purchased plastic replacement parts for my cuisinart twice. This1works well, quietly, and handles the loads of veggies I process with ease. Love it. I wish I had purchased it it designer red. The only thing I do not like is that I always end up washing all3bowls, even if I only use the little chopper. How do you keep the outer bowls clean? The rim of the bowl gets food into it which fall down between the bowls and I end up rinsing all, at the least. If this processor lasts without replacements for any decent amount of time, I will offer a full 5 stars, however, so ask me for my opinion in 5 years. |
Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: Kitchen Aid Food Processor Comments: I purchased this KitchenAid KFPM770 Food Processor, Brushed Nickel for my wife thinking that it would do well on making her protein shakes, while being quiet in the process. Her blender puts out about 100 decibles, irritating to me, not so much to her. Well this machine is really quiet, for sure. We experimented with the different utensils and bowls to try and get the consistency of her protein shakes that she likes and gets from her blender. While adding the ingredients, some of each ingredient scattered to the roof of the bowl, and did not get mixed in. For some reason all we could obtain was a thick pudding type mixture that wouldn't pour. For me, this was not a wise purchase, it will probably sit on the kitchen shelf, lonely for attention. Now I will research for a quiet blender, and try that route. P.S. I have seen in the past what this machine can do to chop vegetables and such and for that I know it can do a great job, however my wife has a small hand operated chopper she uses for her salad preparation which is lightweight and easy to clean. This machine on the other hand is heavy and uses more components to do the same job, so she'll probably not use it for salads either. |
Rating: 2 (out of 5) Summary: Cuisinart is better Comments: The bowl leaks on mine when I process soups or liquidy mixtures. I am going back to my Cuisinart and returning this item. Also, the motor doesn't seem as powerful and the top tube is akward for loading. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Kitchen Aid KFPM 770 NKO Food Processor Comments: A great product at a great price. Like many products, manufacturers load them up with safety switches that are made to keep people from injuring themsesves, that probably shouldn't be operating any kind of equipment, under any circumstances. Prevents lawsuits by these people, so I guess they serve their purpose.
I thought I followed the directions for assembly to the letter, however I ended up having to call customer service, and found out1little thing I hadn't done right. I have to say, if all employees were like the1I talked to, it would sure make people's lives simpler. He even registered it for me. |
