Summary: Works great, w/ Folex
Comments: I have had my Agility for a couple years. I like the ease of use and the fact that my carpets dry much quicker than when I have them professionally done. I am having to do 2 or 3 cleans to really see a difference in the carpet cleanliness. I let my carpets go too long between professional cleans and I think the fact that my carpets have taken nearly 12 hours to dry after said professional cleans is an indication that the professional cleaning did not extract well enough.
I have tried the Hoover soap, felt it did attract dirt too quickly after cleaning. I have tried vinegar in place of carpet soap; I have tried just hot water. The best cleaning solution I have found so far is using Folex. You can purchase it by the gallon at Lowe's. 2 cups of Folex per tank is doing a nice job.
I think any woman or man who self cleans their carpets deserves brownie points from their spouse/partner for their efforts. Kudos to us for the cost avoidance savings we are making avoiding professional services!! |

Summary: What Suction?
Comments: Before now, I have never spent $175 on something that after3uses completely stopped working. On my fourth use (today), the machine is demonstrating "reverse" suction. Air is being blown onto the floor and is being sucked from the dirty water container.
I tried ething to fix it, to no avail.

Summary: great little cleaner
Comments: purchased this thing over a year ago and not many complaints. i love the spinner brushes, the attachments, and the extra solution howeverton. the only real things i do not care too much for is the tanks are really small ( maybe a gallon) and it doesn't have an on board heater. so not really anything too bad. for big jobs i would endorse getting a rug doctor however this thing is fine for the occasional spot cleaning. |

Comments: I like this machine. It works really well. The only thing I would have to complain about is the head doesn't seem heavy enough. I wish it would hold tighter to the carpet. It would take more of the moisture out of the carpet so it would dry quicker. |

Summary: Going on third year of monthly use and still works great!!
Comments: I have3kids, a dog, and I live in the midwest where snow and mud are a part of life. I use this steamer on a monthly basis, especially after my Girl Scout meetings, and it does a superior job of pulling out all kinds of dirt and dog hair from the carpet. I use it on the my microfiber and tweed furniture with excellent results.
I am meticulous about cleaning the machine after e use, making sure to clean both lint filters and to pull as many fibers and hairs out of the rotating brushes as possible. With regular use and cleaning, this machine has more than paid for itself by saving me the hassle and cost of dozens of professional cleanings.
The cons: the extension cord is way too short. It barely reaches the ends of my 20x18 family room. It is loud. The plastic knob that secures the hand held nozzle broke off, so now the hand held unit does not stay securely in place. The cleaning is cumbersome, and it took me several cleanings before I could reassemble the unit without instructions.
Also, this is NOT a steam cleaner. It uses hot water from your tap, however it doesn't heat the water. I wasn't looking for that level of sanitation, however if you are, do not purchase this unit.
For overall cleaning, this is an excellent machine. I haven't had any problems with functionality or dependability. |
