Summary: Form over function.
Comments: The design of the coffee maker is beautiful, and the coffee that it produced tasted great. So what is the problem you ask? After the span of just over 6 months the coffee maker would not brew a pot in under an hour. Incredibly frustrating. |

Summary: Superb!!
Comments: Forget your fancy expensive coffee brewers. Kitchenaid makes the best and at the almost all reasonable price. I have used this brand for 15 years (this is my second one) and have never had a complaint or a bad cup of coffee...and believe me, I am no Martha Stewart in the kitchen. My husband even brags about my coffee...something I thought would never happen!!
I do not understand the complaints I have read about this model. Mine has never leaked...ever!! They must not be putting the filter in carefully enough. |

Summary: KitchenAid let-down
Comments: We have just updated our kitchen with all KitchenAid appliances. I was thrilled to find a K.A. coffee maker at such a reasonable price, with a stainless steel carafe & front. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED.
There is no water gauge on the front to let you know how many cups of water you've poured in, the water was hard to pour into the resevoire without almost all of it splashing out, the coffee wasn't hot right after brewing OR after sitting in the sealed carafe for over 20 minutes!!!! The howevertons seemed weird to use....overall, it is worthless to us!!!!!!!!
Boxing this puppy right back up, and returning it.

Summary: Excellent Replacement Coffee Maker
Comments: Fortunately for me, I did not read the reviews for this unit prior to purchasing. I ordered this unit off Amazon & it works great. I found that none of the complaints that people made about this unit occurred. Absolutely no problems with carafe seating properly. Carafe seats better in unit than any other automatic coffee maker that I have owned. Temperature is at perfect range. The unit also has nice features for automatically shutting off. There are also nice audible alerts to notify you when it is finished making the coffee as well as when it is turning off. The complaint about the lid being set up differently was incorrect as well. I found it to be an unusual design, however it did not cause any operational problems. No problems with overflow of the filters if you purchase the correct paper filters that work in the unit. I tried it with the paper filters that came with it & it did overflow. I then used some paper filters that I had for my older unit that were larger & no longer had this problem.
To wrap up, I would say again that this is the best automatic coffee maker that I have ever owned & would endorse it to others. The unit also is at a great price when I purchased it for $33.00 from Amazon. |

Summary: appears great tastes lousy
Comments: I have tried and tried and tried. This product stinks. Often the coffee tastes like plastic for some reason. I have traded filters, rinsed the unit, rinsed and washed the filter unit over and over again. Just cannot make a great cup of coffee happen consistently.
