Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Estwing rock picks are No. 1 Comments: Estwing E3-14P 14oz Rock Pick
Product and price can not be beat. I have looked around and found that these picks are durable and made well. Would endorse highly to amateur and pro. I do alot a detecting and these picks are easy to handle and do the job they are intended to do. Wear eye protection!! |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Estwing Small Rock Pick Comments: Estwing makes the broadest range of tools for the geologist. The normal rock pick weighs 22 oz, while the E3-14P weighs only 14. I got it so my grandsons could have fun with me looking looking for fossils. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Estwing rocks your rocks... Comments: This is a heavy rock pick and the shipping cost shows it.
However it is the best rock pick there is, and I have used it many times to look into rocks, crevaces etc.
Yes, I suppose you can try and get a $5 hammer at your local hardware store to do the job, however I would rather have a heavy, nicely gripped, the "rolls royce" of rock picks, rock pick, than anything else.

Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Great quality & balance Comments: I built a long dry laid stone wall this summer. This Estwing hammer performed well is among my favorite hammers for stone... Just do not hit your hand with the chisel end... That hurts :-) |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: The Queen Comments: The Queen of Rock Hammers - slightly lighter than the 22 oz model. Perfect for women, children or hikers. Again, file the corners on the head to prevent splinters and burrs. |
