Product Reviews: KitchenAid Pro Line 4-Slice Toaster, Pearl Metallic |
Rating: 1 (out of 5) Summary: Kitchen Aid Proline Toaster Comments: A huge disappointment. The toaster was used for2days before1half of the machine stopped working. For a $140 toaster this is ridiculous.
This is an expensive machine purchased so that the irritation of having to constantly replace cheap toasters could be ended. Instead it did not even last as long as a Walmart $12 model. Kitchen Aid - I thought - was a top quality outfit. So much for that illusion.KitchenAid KMTT400SS 4-Slice Metal Toaster, Brushed Stainless Steel |

Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: KitchenAid Pro Line 4-Slice Toaster Comments: Our entire family loves this new toaster. At 1st we were skeptical about the lack of popping up, however the beep to tell you your toast is done works excellent, and keeps the bread warm until you raise the toast yourself. It also goes with all our other KitchenAid products, all of which we are pleased with. After we purchased ours, we saw it on the TV show "Brothers and Sisters" with1of the characters raising his toast. The kids liked our toaster even better after that!! I am an engineer, so pleasing me is not easy. I give this toaster 5 stars!! |
Rating: 3 (out of 5) Summary: Adequate however not worth the money Comments: I have owned the KitchenAid Pro Line 4 slice toaster for acouple of years now....actually I am on my second one. The 1st1(purchased from Williams Sonoma when they were the "exclusive" sellers, who no longer carry it.....so that should be a tip off right there) was recalled by the manufacturer due to faulty wiring that allegedly caused/could cause a fire (yikes). After I owned toaster #1 acouple of months half the heating elements stopped working....pretty bad for such a pricey machine. The company, to it's credit, quickly replaced it with a new1without any hassle...it was being recalled any way. The "new one" is now about 2 years old. The pros: great looking, solid, wide slots, manual leavers to raise the toast. The cons: super expensive, heavy, big, must set on high settings (at least 7 out of 9) to actually get toast instead of warm bread. The 1st1was inconsistent however the second replacement machine is fairly consistent and does actually toast. I have owned Krups, Cruisinart, and cheap toasters in the past. I can not see that this pricey toaster does a better a job (or even as great a job) for the $$, although it does look nice. I purchased into the Pro Line because of my previous experience with KitchenAid mixers (mine is 25 years old, is going strong and has worked flawlessly) and expected the same high function and quality in the toaster. however the Pro Line isn't up to par, at least the toaster isn't. So save your $$$$$ and purchase a cheaper toaster. |
