Product Reviews: Fiskars Brush Axe #7860 |
Rating: 3 (out of 5) Summary: WHY FISKARS,WHY!!!!!! Comments: It seems fiskars has crossed over to the dark side. when i recieved my brush axe it had a stiker on the back of the sheath that said MADE IN CHINA. i couldn't find FINLAND anywhere on the product. WHY FISKARS,WHY!!!!!! i was irritated, becase the picture said FINLAND and my other fiskar tools were also made in FINLAND, so i was exspacting it to be made in FINLAND, NOT CHINA!!
So to see if it was still fiskars quality i took a walk into the woods and put it to the test. I hacked and slashed through a 3" dried ceader, many grape vines rangeing from less than half an inch to 4" and umpteen saplings. the brush axe passed,it's blade was still shape with no necks, and it wasn't rattling. it is still a great quality tool ,however i would of liked much more if it was made in finland. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: A quality product Comments: I have used machetties for many years, and always carry1on my ATV, for making trails. There are many poor quality ones on the market, that will dent if cutting hard wood. The Fiskars brush axe is a quality tool that performs as advertised. I am happy with my Fiskars brush axe. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: bush knife Comments: My husband loves his new bush knife. He was cutting through brush and branches with ease. This product was endorseed by our son, who also loves his. Just be careful not to cut into your leg. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Fiskars Brush Axe #7860 Comments: much more tougher than Fiskars/Gerber1hand axe, I was doing some serious hacking for 2 hours, with wood as much as 3 1/2, it just keeps going and going, and the edge holds up unlike anything I'd used, it slice and cuts my finger at the end of the process, which it shouldn't, it should be a bit dull by then, however it did not, for a machete, its edge are sharp, and even afte all the serious whacking, it still be able to pick out smaller branch with just little prying and sliceing movements while making nice "cling" "cling" tones, light, and for that, it's all your shoulder doing the work, it has to be strike down at fater speed when comparing to others with thicker and heavier blade, and when you do that, it also makes whoosh whoosh noise, could have use even better shock absorbing handle though, and for that, do not cut in any angle that might cause your wrist to bent, that's when it bounce off. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Great product Comments: This is a great tool I definitely endorse it. Light weight , sharp, does not require a lot of energy to cut even 2" branches. |
