Comments: i have only used it once ut i did both floors that day. they did come out clean and i was happy. I am 77 and it was a little clumsy to handle. however i like clean floorws and use it again. |

Summary: GREAT LITTLE MACHINE
Comments: Pulled it out of the box and thought that it was too small for my 4 bedroom. Set up was easy and to my surprise, it did a great job. The floor gets a little too wet and I thought that there must be soil left in the water on the floor, so I performed the paper towel test, it was wet, however clean. So far my best purchase this year. A2hour cleaning job just turned into a 45-minute job. YIPPIEEE!!!!!!!!!! |

Summary: Real time saver
Comments: I used my Steamboy for the 1st time yesterday and was pleased with the results. I had done quite of bit of research before the purchase so think that I made a great decision. I have dark colored tile floors and almost all cleaning products leave a dull looking floor. With just the steam the floors are shiny and clean. I liked it so much I just purchased1for a gift for my son. I gave it4stars because of the short cord. I usually use an extension cord on my vacuum so it really doesn't bother me. however it might for some people. I found it easy to use and a real time saver. |

Comments: This product is difficult to put together and is hard to push around to clean a floor. In order to make it easier to use you have to use a lot of water and it takes forever to dry. No instructions on how to use on a carpet even though there is a "carpet attachment". Would never use on a carpet because of the water needed. disappointed in this product. |

Summary: The Steamboy works fine, however be realistic in your expectations.
Comments: The idea of a steam mop intrigued me because I was tired of buckets of dirty water and sponge mops. I borrowed a friend's Bissell however was not impressed by how much water it left on the floor or how bulky it was (I have a small kitchen and bath). So I read the reviews and decided to try the Reliable Steamboy. I really liked the triangular head for getting into corners. The Steamboy worked as promised, however still doesn't come close to drying immediately - more like5to10minutes. I put down a kitchen towel and ran it over the floor to dry it quicker. In any case, if you stop and think about it what you have is steam coming through an absorbant pad, so of course the pad is going to get wet and stay wet. So you are pushing a wet pad over your floor. Not rocket science. The other issue I found was since I did not want to wash the pad with my clothes or towels,I either had to put the used pad somewhere to dry until I had more cleaning cloths to wash or use a tub of water just to wash the pad. I did purchase extra pads which I highly endorse. Be sure to sweep the floor 1st, or you will wind up with little blobs of wet dust. All in all I am pleased with the Steamboy. It does clean and is more convenient than a sponge mop. Read the directions and make sure the water container is on tightly or it will leak. I do not think I'll try it on my hardwood floors though. |
