Product Reviews: Eureka 437AZ Optima Lightweight Upright Vacuum |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: A MUST purchase for pet owners and apartments!! Comments: My old vacuum recently went out. In an attempt to purchase something in the under $100 range I did a lot of research on all vacuums. This1I have to say is AMAZING!! I used it immediately and while people complain about it's noise, I say, who cares. It freaking works. I had a vacuum I paid over $150 for and this is 1/3 less in size and has 2 times the power. The pet claw made my couch, only a year 1/2 old however with 2 cats who love it, look like new!! I use to try and run my old vacuum over the cushions and it never came out as clean. I agree with others who say this ideal for those in small apartments. We have a2bedroom apartment so it's perfect. If I had a large house, maybe not. however, if you want something strong for the upper level of a2story house I say go for it. Other complaints were the filter getting dirty quickly. I'd rather a filter get dirty because it's doing it's job than have lousy suction and a filter I seldom clean/change. I love this vacuum!! Definitely worth e penny if not more!! |
Rating: 2 (out of 5) Summary: bad wheel design, great vac however can not manuever easily Comments: I wanted a light weight, yet powerful vacuum. I initially liked this vacuum. It has great suction power (so much so that, area rugs get stuck to it). I liked almost all of the features except for its wheels. On my berber carper, it will not move at-all. Pushing it forward causes a lot of hand pain, as suction is powerful with clumsy wheels. I have never had that kind of pain with previous and even heavier vacuum cleaner. I returned this vac to store where I purchased it and looking for another light weight model. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: purchase it, You will like it Comments:
When I saw it in the store after 3 days of reading many vacuum reviews I actually was a bit scared by the smallish size however purchased it anyway. Thank greatness. Finally a vacuum that pleased me.
Super lightweight however well made. Attachments work as promised and it really does have all the power of a big clunky vacuum. It took 5 minutes to put together. They have a huge sticker (that peels off cleanly) that tells you to remember to swith the setting to hose vs floor and suction for bare floor vs suction and spinning brush for carpet which I briefly forgot and had a moment of panic when it wasnt doing things well. After I spent 5 minutes getting to know it.... all is perfect. I read a few reviews that said the cord was in the way however I wonder of those people did not see the tiny cord loop up high on the handle that solves that issue. I am so happy I purchased this instead of the more heafty and expensive1I originally wanted. |
Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: there is hardly anything better for a small place Comments: I have had this vacuum for a few months. I usually vacuum the whole house (600 sq. feet) once a month, and vacuum small areas a few times a week.
My criteria for a vacuum were that it needed to be small (due to the lack of storage space), upright, it needed to have a hose, and a motor driven brush (to remove pet hair). This vacuum fits the bill, and works almost allly well. The suction is excellent, the brush pics the pet hair well, and the turbo brush attachment is wonderful for the furniture and hard to get places. The hose is just long enough to pick the spiders at the ceiling level.
The problems: 1. forward facing exhaust. The easy solution is simply tilting the vacuum back a little more. If it's at 45 degrees it will not blow the dust in front of it. 2. The dust sticks to the filter and blocks it. This can be mitigated by putting a piece of pantyhose over the filter (I have uploaded pictures). $2 pair of pantyhose from Walgreens last me a few months, and made it easy to remove the dust from the filter.
Otherwise I like the vacuum much, and it makes an excellent job of keeping our little house clean and dust free. |
Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Eureka 437AZ lightweight Vacuum Comments: I am happy with this vacuum. It's strong and has all the benefits of the large vacuums including on board tools. I am used to a self-propelled vacuum, so on carpet this is a little different to use (requires a little muscle), however it does a terrific job and I am always amazed at the amount of debris it picks up. I purchased this for my lower level and I also us it on the stairs and find it convenient to use. The adjustable height ergonomic handle is nice and easy on the hand. I had already purchased a similar model of this vacuum for my son in college, and it is still going strong. This is my 1st bagless vacuum, so far I like it a lot, I know I will not miss the replacement bags!! |
