Rating: 4 (out of 5) Summary: The lid doesn't quite fit perfectly Comments: The overall performance of the stock pot is great, however not great. It has a tall body so it makes the boiling soup harder to spill out and make the mess on the stove top. The non-sticky part inside and out seems sturdy and lasting, and that makes the cleaning part easy too because the grease and stuff can easily be washed off from the smooth surface. The only compliant I have to this product is that because of the tall body the pot has, the metal cylinder doesn't seem to hold its shape perfectly. The top opening seems to be distorted a little; therefore, the glass lid can not fit there perfectly. I often need to turn the lid slightly to the left and then to the right a couple of times in order to adjust the lid to fit into the pot opening.

Rating: 5 (out of 5) Summary: Great pot so far!! Comments: We purchased this to replace an old Calphalon pot which crashed to our floor and bent out of shape. The old pot was wonderful, however quite heavy and you had to hand wash it. This1retains the nonstick feature (an essential when making split pea soup), yet is much lighter. The glass lid has a vent built into it, making overflows much less likely. Lastly, the whole thing can go into the dishwasher if you want, however is easy to wash by hand, too, especially since it is lighter weight than the old pot. You can maneuver it around.
We still have another T-Fal piece that we purchased over 20 years ago, and it's still going strong!! That's what led us to purchase this one.
The1possible negative I could even think of is that it's tall, making it a little difficult for us folks of shorter stature to ladle out the soup. It is a 12 quart pot, though, so you have to expect the volume to come from somewhere.
Overall, a great pot!! And we do a lot of cooking!!!!!! |
