Summary: LOST PRECIOUS FOOTAGE!!!!!!
Comments: Lost great footage of a family reunion to an error that read "recording disabled". Still in shock and wouldn't advise anyone I hated to purchase this camera. I can not believe they put out a product that would make so much disappointment. Cannot get my money back for this and its a shame. Thanks SORNY for ruining my holidays. |

Summary: Broke after a year of limited use
Comments: This camcorder was fine until it turned a year old and went kaput!! And we did not use it that much. Screen just went static, then blank. Now, it just will not go on. Sony's Help desk couldn't figure it out over phone, so we've got to send it back for a $160+ repair. I have tossed it and I am looking for a new one. What a waste. |

Summary: This camcorder erases your recordings
Comments: I purchased this camcorder about 1 year back and it was working fine for 1st 5-6 months and then suddenly during our trip to Seattle I started having problems. Camcorder records for a while then gives message saying "Disk cover open accidentally. Turn on power again" and when I do that then all the recording is erased and it starts all over again. I have lost2dvd recordings due to this problem.
I contacted Sony support and they just keep on telling me to make sure battery is charged and try using different discs. I tried using different discs (different formats as well...) however to no avail. I do not know what to do.
I urge all you prospective purchaseers to stay away from this product. |

Comments: This is an easy to use little camera with a great zoom. The color and definition is far better than I thought, in well lit areas. In lower lighting the color is flat, the picture is darker than the surroundings and not real clear. For outside, daytime, or well lit rooms, it is perfect. |
