Summary: Great vacuum however......
Comments: I love this vacuum. It has awesome suction, and works great on both carpet and hardwood floors. My ONLY complaint is that the switch you press to recline the vacuum broke off when I was pressing it after just 6 weeks of use. It is still under warranty and will be fixed. |

Summary: Great, powerful vac!!!!
Comments: I purchased this vacuum for my mom for a Christmas present... It was a risk because she has had the SAME Kirby vacuum for literally AT LEAST 20 years and refused to get rid of it!! Well, it was a mixed reaction when she received the new Dirt Devil - she was thrilled to have a brand new nice vacuum, however reluctant to get rid of her trusty Kirby - however I have received a GLOWING report: she LOVES the vacuum!! I tried it out once before she took it home, and was impressed with the powerful suction - it even did a better job getting stuff up from our difficult-to-vacuum rug than our brand-new central vac system!! She said that it works wonderfully and that the suction is really powerful, and that it is easy to maneuver and handle. Hope this helps :) |

Summary: Belt Breaking Problems
Comments: I purchased this vacuum during Black Friday thinking it would be a great deal. In the end, I wish I had gone with something a little more reliable. After 5 uses, I have already had to replace the belt twice. That is simply unacceptable. I contacted Dirt Devil about this and they informed me I must have had the brush set too low to the floor. We have a standard length carpet and even at the highest (off the floor) setting, the belt still broke. Products like this should not be this finicky.
On the bright side, if you do not mind springing a few bucks e other time you vacuum in order to replace a belt, this vacuum may work for you. Overall, the quality of the vacuum is just too cheap, and I have actually had to go back to using a little $20 vac I purchased up from Wal-Mart 4 years ago. That does not bode well for the quality of this particular offering. |

Summary: Disappointed
Comments: The product is noisey and arrived with defective attachments. The drapery attachment is held together with a rubberband, which would be fine if it remained air tight. however it does not and is consequently ineffective.
It has many nice features, including a bagless system that works well, and a strong motor. however the overall impression is1of shoddy manufacture. |
