Asus A626 3.5-inch PDA Windows Mobile 6.0, Wi-fi (802.11 B+g), Bluetooth 2.0 (edr),
Rating: 5 (out of 5)
Summary: Takes an 8GB SDHC Card!!
Comments: I was happy to see that the ASUS 626 takes the 8 GB SDHC Memory Card (mine is by Toshiba) which I happened to have on hand. I can not tell you what the difference is between SDHC and the standard SD Memory Cards other than the SDHC Memory Cards go much larger and do not cost as much.

I develop applications for Pocket PCs at work (almost all running Pocket PC 2003, and some new ones running Mobile 5), and Mobile 6 feels just about the same (just more colorful).

I had my wife get me this as a Christmas gift (using my credit card) in 2008, and I think this1is just as solid as the thousand dollar Symbol and DataLogic handhelds that we use at work.

Summary: Asus A626
Comments: This replaced my PalmOne Zire 72 which eventually just died from sitting down with it in my back pocket. My biggest dislike of the Palm was ironically Graffiti2. It did not recognize my writing as well as the Toshiba PDA it had replaced. A scratch in the writing area just made things go from bad to worse.

I am happy with the Asus writing recognition. I started with the Block Recognizer because this is what I was used to. however now I have found I basically use the Letter Recognizer. I have also had luck with Transcriber.

Transferring files from the Palm Desktop to Outlook and then the Asus took some time, however I am pleased with the results. I am still getting used to ActiveSync. It is giving me some trouble currently. Hopefully I can get these quirks resolved. Knowing how to customize settings so I transfer the contacts and events from Outlook to the Asus is1problem. The other problem is once I disconnect the device ActiveSync will not reconnect without rebooting my PC.

I haven't used some of the more sophisticated features. I did not need a phone which the Asus isn't, however I also do not surf the net or read my email on my PDA.1of the things I have never liked about Microsoft Mobile is that when you close a program with the X it just closes the window and does not stop the program. This results in too many programs running.

Summary: Disillusioned & Displeased
Comments: I was totally displeased with this product. I was unable to access the accompanying CDs to set it up, and the PDA froze up so that I could do nothing with it. I purchased this to replace an old HP iPAQ 1910 because I couldn't download some of my subscriptions due to the old operating system. The only thing I could do with the ASUA device was play the Bubble Breaker game!!

Also, the one-year warranty is accessed through the vendor from whom you purchased the device. Fortunately I purchased mine through Amazon.com and they gave me a full refund. I now am the happy owner of a new HP iPAQ 111 Classic which does ething I need.

Summary: somewhat disappointed
Comments: I chose the product because of price and sometimes the new names might offer something great however this product dissapointed me. I purchased it for use to syncronize my nursing drug book from my computer using window XP to the asus PDA however it will not work and the software that came with it will not load into my computer either. I called Asus for help and it was clear to me that the technical team are helpless and offers nothing however poor support. I wish to return it as soon as possible to amazon if there will not be a return fee or I will trash it. the only great thing about the PDA is the wifi however that is not why i need a PDA. so if you are purchaseing for core PDA functions you will be disappointed. The product will not read flash card that has music files because it was not maked by ASUS PDA.IT IS REALLY FUNNY. THIS THE ONLY THING I REGRET purchaseING FROM AMAZON.

Summary: Great, little device.
Comments: Great screen, slim design, great battery. Have had for 3 months with zero problems. I got an Armor case for it, which is nice for protection. With a 4 GB SD card, I have no memory issues. This is a great purchase.
