Summary: do not purchase or even take for free.
Comments: I got this printer for free with a desktop I purchased. It has been nothing however a huge pain. It's finicky about whether or not paper is ready to go, the quality is sub-standard, and it seems alalmost all impossible to get the cartridges correctly aligned so that there aren't lines or blocky printing.
However, all of these problems are nothing compared to the ink problem other reviews have mentioned. You absolutely cannot print, even in black and white, unless it deems it has enough of all the colors in the cartridges. This is insane, and seems like it is simply a ploy for to force the consumer to purchase needless, expensive ink just to print a simple black and white page.
Moreover, the ink levels seem to run out incredibly quick. I just replaced my ink about a month ago, and I am already having to do so again. I use this printer for personal use only. I am only printing resumes and cover letters (so about 3 pages a few times a week) not a 40 page thesis eday. This is an absolute trash printer, and because of the ink fiasco, I will not be purchaseing an Epson. |

Comments: Ok, it sounds cheap when you get this damn EPSON printer until it runs out1of those tiny ink cartridge. I did not use color after several try (i.e. pick black color only in settings) and yet, when I ran out of black ink, and after replaced it, it asked to replace1of COLOR ink cartridge as well!! And you know what, other than to purchase a new expensive tiny new ink cartridge, this printer is piratical dead since it will not do anything other than shut down. And how much it is for 4 cartridge? Over 80 bucks in cartridge world!! Do not purchase this sucker, and trust me, I will file a complaint to BBC and maybe a lawsuit against EPSON maker. So will you purchase any product from EPSON again? |

Summary: Why did Epson even make this?
Comments: It appears so cute. however it is, bar none, the worst printer I have ever had.
Oh, the print quality is fine. The scanner works great, too.
however what great is a printer if you have to replace all the ink cartridges after 30 or 40 pages? The black ink cartridge is the same size as the color ones. And, even if you set it to use only black, it still empties the color cartridges!!
I usually try to give manufacturers the benefit of the doubt. however in this case, they had to be sitting around a table laughing, saying, "Hey, let's really pull1over on ebody!! Let's make a printer that you have to purchase print cartridges for e2weeks!!"
Recently the print heads got clogged. I had to clean it twice. By the time I was finished, a set of new cartridges was half empty.
do not purchase this. And if someone gives it to you, you might use it for the scanner, however do not count on it for your printing needs, unless you print just a letter or2a month. |

Comments: I'll never own another Epson product for as long as I live....
Wow. What a pain in the @$$ this printer has been. Like eone else is complaining about: All 4 ink cartridges must work in order to print ANYTHING, or else it just will not work. It seems to eat up ink fairly quickly on top of that. The scans are nice enough, and the prints are nice enough. however who cares if you can not print a single black and white page because you are out of f***ing CYAN!!!!
Also, it seems to have trouble grabbing hold of the paper properly, and then it tends to sometimes print crocked.
And it's BULKY AS H3LL!! Do not get this. do not even accept1as a free gift!! Too much stress..... |

Comments: This is definitely the worst printer I have ever used. The ink only lasts for a few print jobs. The printer itself is bulky and ugly. The drivers are terrible. The print quality is not great at all. Overall, this is a piece of junk and I am glad it came free with my computer. |
