    Summary:1of my all time favorites

It's supposed to be entry level however so far it's turned out 1st class footage for ething.. Of course, I do know how to shoot..however it will work for anybody..and do not let the gripes about the menu discourage you. It's a simple menu and easy to use. I use a battery powered sound board to mix sound before I send it to the cam..however this AG 20 records sound better than any other I have ever used.

This is my 1st camcorder. I actually researched and purchased a Canon GL22years ago for my elementary schools newscast. This is quite a bit bulkier, however was significan notly less expensive. My concerns were to make sure I got great sound and great low-light results. The low-light results are there and with the external mic I purchased up it satisfies my other concern. I am pleased with the product for the price.

This camera with3ccd lack of brilliants color and the low ligth performance is too bad that i decided to sell it and purchase and HV20 or HV30, controls are hard to use, the AG-DVC7 is a better model than this, panasonic went too backwards with this cameral, if u plan to purchase a camera, get the sony hdr1000 o the canon GL2.

This camcorder never ceases to amaze me.

It is relatively easy to use right out of the box, and the menu system does take some time to get familiar with (which in and of itself is not a complaint). I do not need XLR input as I run ething through a small studio mixer straight into the 3.5mm input.

I wish I could adapt the camcorder to use 6x6 filters though (not that I am pitching Colkin filters). however, I do use 43mm glass filters which is fine (almost allly as warming filter and a polarizing) .....

I produce outdoor videos for the infirmed people in our nursing homes who cannot get out through no fault of their own. I use this camcorder extensively in such harsh conditions as a minus 15 degrees on the shores of Lake Superior to Minnesota's Serengeti summer temps which can hit over 90 degrees (in the shade). I have not been disappointed.

For the price I paid, and all things considered, the DVC-20 is a work horse. I do endorse getting the longer lasting battery though - the2that come with the camcorder should be used for backup only due to limited usage.

I also found that the Audio-Techniqa shotgun mic is helpful too in nature settings.

This is the 1st pro video camcorder that I have owned. Before I was doing still photograph.
I like the camcorder a lot as a matter of fact I use it right out of the box sight unseen and had no problem what so ever. Was the best decesion I made. I would give it thumbs up!! I had read a lot about it in the reviews before it was purchased. I shoot freelance for the local news stations.
