3M 12x24Micro Filtr Filter (98206) - This filter is 12x24x1 and measures 11.6x23.6x1. With a 1000 performance rating and a MERV 11 rating, this filter is up to 30 times more effective at capturing micro particles than ordinary fiberglass filters. Meeting the American Lung Associations Health House Project indoor air quality guidelines, it outperforms all competitors 3 month, 1 filters. This product captures airborne micro particles including smoke, airborne allergens, pollen, pet dander, mold and bacteria. It also captures large particles like dust and lint. This filter lasts up to 3 months and no unnecessary antimicrobial chemicals are added. Filtrete filtering material will not support the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew or fungi in normal use.

If a Filtrete furnace filter remains in use longer than three months, it may begin to restrict airflow. In addition, certain conditions in your home will significantly add particles to the air causing the filter to capture more particles than usual. This will shorten the filter life to less than three months and reduce the effectiveness of the filter to capture particles.
