Pros: works well for orienteering, easy to use & manage
Cons: satellite reception not all that great when anything is blocking the sky, technology outdated

Pros: Rugged. Easy to read in sunlight. Runs a long time on 2 batteries
Cons: Keeps losing reception.
The Bottom Line: The Etrex Legend needs a perfectly clear sky with no cloud cover or trees in order to lock on to the satellites.

Pros: Small, allows you to find your location easily
Cons: Loses signal indoors and in dense urban areas / trees
