Best sports action portable video camera for the money

Pros: Waterproof, 720-1080p HD video, low-profile, tripod mount, micro SD card, versatile

Cons: Slight fish-eye image distortion at less than 1080p resolution

The Bottom Line: There are many options in the market, but only the Contour Roam gives you so many features at the $200 price point.

ContourROAM - for adventures real or imagined

Pros: Small and smart form factor, ease of use, rugged package

Cons: Exposed front lens element, needs PC to change modes, weak supporting software.

The Bottom Line: This is a smartly designed & built unit with surprisingly good image quality. If you're looking for a POV camera and don't consider the ContourROAM, you are making a mistake.
