Pros: Complex plot, moving story, great acting, thoughtful message.
Cons: Evil orderly subplot from later days dropped.
The Bottom Line: This movie is an enduring classic, deep and moving, and layered; perfect fodder for discussion. One of King's best books becomes one of his few good movies.

Pros: Great story line, and acting.
Cons: To long winded.
The Bottom Line: A well done movie, but to long winded. So if you're not use to sitting around for 188 mintues then you may need to watch this in two stages.

Pros: Good adaptation of a popular King novel. Good cast.
Cons: Those execution scenes are hard to watch.
The Bottom Line: Darker and drearier than The Shawshank Redemption, but similarly hope-reaffirming, The Green Mile is a modern classic based on a Stephen King novel.

A moving and original film for mature audiences only.

Pros: Beautiful chemistry between Edgecomb and Coffey, intriguing plot twists, excellent acting and first rate direction.
Cons: Language, language, language, extreme-violence, disturbing visuals, and a worthy depiction of true evil (Percy Wetmore).
