The best overall 400 speed film
by captainmarvel, May 10, 2004
Pros: Excellent color saturation. Fine grain. Cheaper than Kodak film.
Cons: Color saturation may be too much for some (greens and reds especially).
The Bottom Line: Fuji Superia X-TRA 400 is your best bet for an all-purpose high-speed film. There is no better 400 speed film in this price range.
Review: I've been using Fuji film for a long time now and I've never been disappointed by the quality of the ...

High Quality Prints & A Bargain, too!
by colonialpara, Nov 12, 2003
Pros: Very fine grain for its speed, bright colors, convenient and inexpensive 1 hour processing.
Cons: Some over-saturation of brighter primary colors.
The Bottom Line: When you can only carry one speed of film, this one's hard to beat.
Review: Fuji Superia X-tra 400 may just well be the best consumer ISO 400 speed film available on the market ...

My love letter to Fuji
by AgnesVarda, Oct 20, 2003
Pros: sharpness, contrast, color saturation, versatility, price
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: The one film with the most quality-to-price ratio. If you seek anything more advanced, you are venturing into prices at least 3 times as high.
Review: I don't know when was the first time I picked this film off the store rack, but I always thank my lu ...

Take This Film Out And SHOOT IT!
by bntowen, Oct 9, 2002
Pros: use this film as well as amateurs, not contrasty, excellent skin tones, wow!
Cons: At 400 speed? Zero, zip, nada, nichts...you get the picture (sorry)
The Bottom Line: This is the BEST amateur film at any speed or price that's comparable with professional films' color saturation, skin tone reproduction, and enlargement capability, even up to 11 x 14!

sharp, cheap, buy anywhere- what more do you want?
by iggypop, Oct 8, 2001
Pros: cheapest consumer 400 negative print film very sharp saturated primary colors
Cons: shadow detail a little grainy not as smooth color gradations
The Bottom Line: For those who generally use 100 speed film, the sharpness is as good or if not slightly better than a 200 speed film, but you get 400 speed.
Review: If you need a quite a bit of speed in your film because of your slow SLR zoom lens or your mega zoom ...
