Great Watch for most purposes
by linearbob, Oct 25, 2007
Pros: Solar powered with rechargeable battery Radio controlled automatic time setting Tough design, should last long
Cons: Time-stamp feature not useful (to me) Round dial indicators difficult to read
The Bottom Line: Excellent general purpose, wear it every day, "techie" watch. Being radio controlled, it will always be accurate. It is solar powered and shouldn't need a new battery every year.
Review: The GW500A-1V is a tough and good looking high tech watch. In northern California, my GW500A has no ...

The Bottom Line: I can only recommend this watch to those who like the novel idea of solar power and atomic time coupled with G-Shock durability.

Casio G-Shock GW500A-1V
by fruityrock, Sep 25, 2005
Pros: Nice looking watch. Has a few common, useful features. Mostly for gadget freaks.
Cons: Expensive, complex, impractical. Here today, gone tomorrow.
The Bottom Line: Nice watch, made well, pricey and gadgety. It's plastic, so probably won't be in production when you want to replace it. Seems worth more like $70. than the $120. mark.
Review: This watch has a Wave Ceptor feature, 4 alarms (one with snooze), Time Recorder, and self-recharging ...
