Pros: Compact size, easy operation, versatile lighting options, superb picture/audio quality, interconnected to other A/V components.
Cons: Must purchase other items to produce DVDs.
The Bottom Line: This is a good first camcorder, as well as excellent for experienced people. The features, cost, quality of productions and ease of use make it an all around good camera.

Pros: IEEE 1394/USB ports, Digital 8 compatible
Cons: Larger than Mini-DV, still uses tapes.
