Turns Out Mario Is Actually A Pretty Good Host
by opinionated44, Nov 14, 2011
Pros: Loads of fun with friends, lots of extras, great gameplay
Cons: No online play, some minigames are pretty dull, single player isn't very fun
The Bottom Line: It's kind of like a party without good food- it's still fun, but it leaves you wanting something more
Review: The Mario Party series was always one of those series that I was familiar with, but hadn’t eve ...

Mario Party 8 - is this party any fun?
by chalgyr, Jan 9, 2011
Pros: lots of mini games, some fun use of motion controls, lots of modes/options
Cons: graphics and sound are poor, some controls do not respond well
The Bottom Line: It's a video game/board game with Mario themes. There's some good variety to be had here, and my family likes it, but there are technical limitations
Review: Mario Party was a great game when it first came out. It has all of the trimmings of a great ki ...

Get the Party Started with Mario Party 8
by jeavinl, Jun 4, 2010
Pros: easy to learn, silly carnival, board games, unlockables, mario characters, fun twists, 1-4 players
Cons: long ringmaster segments, semi-annoying music, cluttered flashy graphics, can get boring for adults
The Bottom Line: Team up with a princess or a mushroom to collect stars and coins and win Carnival Cards all in a board game battle against friends and foes.
Review: I bought Mario Party 8 as part of a bundle package about two years ago when we first got our Wii. On ...

Pros: Fun for any age, lots of fun extras.
Cons: The price is still fairly high and the game is a bit older.
The Bottom Line: The game is great for all ages and easy to play and understand. It does not require a lot of twisting movements like some other Wii games do.
Review: This game is a staple if you own a Wii system. It is fun to play alone, but excels when pl ...

Little Kids Stay, Adults Flee
by playhooky, Jan 23, 2009
Pros: Fun and large variety of mini-games.
Cons: Board game play is basically left to chance.
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't pay money for this game. Too much text to read, long game, no strategy involved. Its just candy.
Review: Here's a game little kids seem to love but makes adults suddenly need to go work on their taxes.&nbs ...

There's Fun to be Had, and Potential to be Missed
by genesisone, Jan 18, 2009
Pros: A Decent Amount of Fun Games Looks and Feels Very Much Like a Mario Party Game
Cons: Motion Sensor Technology Hardly Tapped Recycled and Bland Board Gameplay Lack of Strategy
The Bottom Line: Don't expect something new and fresh. It's fun, and in some limited ways, gives you a new way to party, but the series could do so much better.
Review: I enjoy Mario Party games. I really do. I own all three N64 games, all four GCN games, and now the W ...

Pros: Quick to learn, easy to play, fun for all ages in groups.
Cons: Annoying sounds and chatty characters, can't skip through tedious intros.
The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line stole the Mario Party soundtrack from the library.
