Beautiful Point & Shoot Camera With A Few Limitations

Pros: Great Lens Good Build Quality Total User Control Produces Very Nice Images
Cons: Very Short Zoom Analog Lens Cap Flash Is Just OK No 1080p Video
The Bottom Line: Though it has been replaced by the DMC-LX5, the DMC-LX3 would be a great second hand purchase for a photography enthusiast. It also produces very nice images.

Almost DSLR quality

Pros: Lightweight, 2.0f, manual controls, RAW shooting, good range of shutter speeds, hot shoe, price.
Cons: High noise @ 600 ISO, zoom, flash unit is almost useless.
The Bottom Line: Great little camera that can produce DSLR quality pictures in the right conditions. Some minor limitations but for the average user and/or hobbyist this can save you alot of money.

Pros: SHARP, LOW NOISE, FAST LENS, WELL BUILT, SMART CONTROLS
Cons: MINIMAL TELEPHOTO, MIGHT BE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MANY
The Bottom Line: For great all round pictures, for stellar low light and wide angle views, this can't be beat. Sharp, solid, gorgeous.

Pros: Fast, wide lens; extensive controls & customization; hotshoe; accessories; good image quality
Cons: Pricey; short zoom; inaccurate LCD & histogram; no inbuilt optical viewfinder
The Bottom Line: Excellent combination of wide-angle, large aperture and manual controls - but you really have to want those for the price.
