Pros: Fast and responsive interface Minimal maintenance Intuitive file hierarchy Huge industry support
Cons: Virus prone Boot times (30+ seconds to reach desktop w/ HDD) File transfers not the fastest
The Bottom Line: Practical for business, powerful when gaming, and slick base for entertainment, my experiences with Windows 7 Home Premium have thus far been outstanding. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Pros: -Support for many programs -Great UI -Responsive/Fast
Cons: -Expensive, compared to Linux -Not open source
The Bottom Line: If you can afford it, Windows 7 is the way to go unless you don't need many of the specialized programs supported by it; then get Linux.

Pros: nice interface, I like you can hover over the mouse and see your windows
Cons: Lack of support for older programs that ran fine on vista.

Pros: Fluid, Stable, EaseOfUse, Faster, Aesthetically Pleasing, More Advanced Options and Settings, More Software Compatible.
Cons: More online support videos for earlier OS, Some Options From Vist/XP Not Present, Expensive.
