Good Camera to Carry Around
by jdklein, Sep 23, 2010
Pros: easy to carry around, custom settings, video, good image quality
Cons: no hd video
The Bottom Line: I would buy this camera if you want a relatively inexpensive camera with video to bring with you when a dslr would be too much.
Review: I bought the Canon G11 camera to use as an all-purpose go-anywhere camera, and I was not disappointe ...

A great camera.
by javman01, Sep 19, 2010
Pros: If you have a steady hand, you'll very seldom get a bad shot.
Cons: No remote control. But they can be purchased aftermarket.
The Bottom Line: If your in the market for a $200 - $300 camera, save up the extra $100-$150 bucks for this one. You'll be so glad you did. Seriously.
Review: Okay. I'm an average basic digital camera user. So if you are too, read on.I like to take pictures o ...

Canon's G11 is a step in the right direction.
by theuerkorn, Dec 15, 2009
Pros: Excellent compromise between resolution and low light capability, RAW capture, articulated screen
Cons: much better than G10 but still noisy at high ISO, somewhat slow
The Bottom Line: Great power in a smallish package, (much) better than most P&S but no match for dSLR.
Review: Canon released not too long ago the respectable G10, and while a good camera it was also a kind of z ...

by denniskly, Dec 13, 2009
Pros: excellent natural-light pictures, good ISO, excellent battery, good video recording, excellent stabilization feature.
Cons: flash picture quality mediocre, no HD video
The Bottom Line: Recommended for point-n-shoot and advanced users. However: - if you don’t need rotating LCD screen buy G10 instead. - if you take lots of flash pictures nix this one.

Less is More
by lawman67, Oct 27, 2009
Pros: Improved high-ISO performance, articulated screen, superior design and construction
Cons: Still slower and noisier than a DSLR at the same price
The Bottom Line: The latest and greatest G-camera gives serious photographers what they've long asked for; a return to the articulated screen and lower resolution for reduced noise. Outstanding
Review: Last summer I bought and reviewed the Canon PowreShot G10, which is the immediate predecesor of ...

Like the G10, A Dud
by heartshot77, Aug 23, 2009
Pros: Well built and good images in good light.
Cons: Basically a 200 dollar P&S in a better body.
The Bottom Line: The G11 is a bit of a fraud. Taking the guts from a Casio and putting them into a Rolex body is sort of what we have with the G11.
Review: The G11 is a better camera than the G10 for one reason. It has fewer MP. The move from 15 to about 1 ...
